Bungie has released a new trailer for the Destiny beta ahead of its release on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 on Thursday.
The video includes gameplay footage and details of what to expect from the test from Bungie community manager David Dague, head of community Eric Osborne, and lead designer Lars Bakken.
Beta servers will be down on July 21st and 22nd before Xbox 360 and Xbox One gamers get access the next day and will be available until 11:59 PDT on July 27th for players on all platforms. Everyone who takes part on July 26th will get a special reward for the full release and it has been hinted that beta progress could carry over to the final release.
"The beta is a test," Dague told Eurogamer. "It's extremely unknown as to what the outcome will be. So, it's certainly not a promise or an announcement that we're making at this time. It all depends on what we learn and how things shake out. So, we're certainly not telling players they can carry their progress over, but we haven't made any announcements either way."
Everyone who takes part in the beta will get three codes and can invite two of their friends to take part. While it hasn't been confirmed by Bungie or publisher Activision, rumours earlier this week suggested will include four story missions, four competitive multiplayer maps, and a cooperative Strike.
If you've pre-ordered the game, you can register for the beta on Bungie.net now.
