Destiny Beta Details Leak: Story Chapters, Multiplayer Maps, Strike Mission

July 14, 2014 by Ian Miles Cheong

Details about the Destiny beta have leaked ahead of the beta’s release.

Details about the upcoming Destiny beta, which launches on July 17 for PlayStation formats, has leaked ahead of schedule.

According to a letter sent to GameStop employees (via VG247), the beta will include four story chapters, four multiplayer maps, and a cooperative Strike mission. Strike missions serve as the game’s dungeons, and are considerably more difficult in comparison to the rest of the content.

In addition to these details, a poster on Reddit has taken a screenshot (via an external camera) suggesting that the beta will weigh in at 12.63gb on the Xbox One once it’s released some days after it comes out on the PS3 and PS4. The full game is set to weigh in at 40gb on the PS4, as we reported last week.

It’s not too late to get into the Destiny beta. All you have to do to get in is to pre-order the game and you’ll receive a few keys to play with and share with your friends.

Destiny is set for a September 9 release date on the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
