Evolution Items for previous generation Pokémon are pretty are in Pokémon Sword & Shield. Most of these items are impossible to purchase from a normal store, and some can’t be easily earned in-game. There are other ways to collect evolution items, or just plain rare items, and you can farm them daily — or faster — using the right methods. As a side-effect, you can also earn a whole lot of easy cash.
There are a couple ways to farm for Evolution Items — three major paths to evolution bliss. You can talk to the Digger Bros in the Wild Area, or you can check the daily rare item sold in Stow-On-Side. Both of those methods cost a little money; 500 watts for the Diggers, and some Pokebucks for the rare item dealer. If you’re looking for rare Evolution Stones, those can be found daily in the Wild Area, and you can grab multiples of them a day. They always respawn in the same spot too!
If you’re in the market for lots of Evolution Items, here’s what you need to know.

How To Get Unlimited Evolution Items & Cash
There are three resources you can use to earn Evolution Items, rare items, and just tons of cash. It’s all about using a handful of powerful resources, and searching in an area you might not look.
Here’s how to obtain lots of Evolution Items:
- Go to the Lake of Outrage in the Wild Area. There is a stone circle in the center of the area — Evolution Stones will randomly spawn here on every reset. Look behind the tall stones!
- Talk to the Digger Bros in the Wild Area. They’re located just south of the Pokémon Nursery. For 500 Watts, they’ll dig random items for you. I recommend talking to the right brother only — you’ll get more items from him.
- Finally, you can go to Stow-On-Side and talk to the Rare Item Dealers. The right NPC will sell one rare item daily. The left NPC will purchase one rare item daily. Visit them daily, and sell items to the left NPC for huge rewards!
By visiting all three of these locations everyday — checking the Lake of Outrage, stopping at the Digger Bros after collecting Watts from the Max Raid Dens, and then taking a Sky Taxi to Stow-On-Side, you’ll earn a constant stream of rare items, Evolution Items, and tons of cash / stuff to sell.
The only drawback? You’ll have to wait for the daily reset for the Rare Item Dealers and for the Evolution Stones in the Lake of Outrage, or to replenish your Watts to talk to the Digger Bros. There is a way to exploit this system and circumvent it — I’ll talk about that in the section below.
How To Change Time & Reset Daily Events | Exploit Guide
You can do the daily activities legitimately and wait daily, or you can swap time zones to speed up the process. The only drawback currently is that PokeJobs will be reset, but you can still use the time zone trick to change the day — daily activities will reset, and weather will change in the Wilds. Here’s how to perform the exploit.
- Make sure you’re [Offline / Local] in the Y-Comm menu.
- Go to any Max Raid Den in the Wild Area.
- Select ‘Invite Others‘ — don’t worry, if you’re online, you’ll never actually invite anyone.
- Press [Home] while the menu says ‘Searching’ and open [System Settings].
- In [System Settings], go to System -> Date & Time -> Move the day ahead by 24+ hours.
- Check and make sure ‘Synchronize Via Internet‘ is disabled.
- Go back in-game and press [B] to back-out of the Max Raid Den.
And you’ll be in a new day! You can now farm Watts, return to the Lake of Outrage to collect new items, or go to Stow-On-Side and get your daily item or sell for tons of cash.
