Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey is a massive game, and the huge world is loaded with weird details — including just a handful of secrets and Easter eggs. Here, we’re going to (attempt) to compile all the developer in-jokes in the game. Some of these are references to other Ubisoft games like Splinter Cell. Others homage last year’s greatest open-world adventures like Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Whatever the case, we’re going to list them (and attempt to explain them) for your quick-viewing pleasure.
These Easter eggs are pretty well hidden. You’ll have to search the far edges of the world to find these little references. We won’t count certain details — achievements / trophies don’t count. That Spartan Kick? It does remind me of a certain meme-tastic scene of Leonidas kicking someone into a pit, but I’ll refrain from listing it in an official capacity. It’s a tough call, but I’m leaving that one here.
The rest of the Easter eggs are below. We’re always looking for more, and considering how many secrets are hidden in Assassin’s Creed: Origins, we’re just scratching the surface.

Easter Eggs Guide
[Work-in-Progress: We’re still hunting down secrets and Easter eggs! Let us know if you’ve found something we missed!]
Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Koroks Easter Egg
Travel to the tiny, single island in the Malis peninsula. At the top of the rocks, you’ll find a doll-like figure on a stone circle that pretty closely resembles a Korok — those hard-to-find collectible critters from Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild!
There were hundreds of Koroks in that game, and finding them requiring completing a small puzzle (like completing a stone circle, pulling a plant, or shooting balloons) — Koroks must be a lot more rare in ancient Greece.

Black Panther’s Kingly Battle Easter Egg
Found up on the high hills of Gortyn, there’s one scene that looks pretty familiar to fans of Black Panther. Two dudes are duking it out, fisticuffs-style, in shallow muddy waters while a group of on-lookers cheer them on. This might not exactly match the scene, where Black Panther fights his nemesis Killmonger, but it sure feels like a reference. You be the judge.
Ubisoft References In The Modern Day
Like every other Assassin’s Creed, you’ll briefly visit modern times with a small cast of characters as they use the Animus to decipher the secrets of the past. Usually, this is where you’ll find direct references to other Ubisoft games — and Odyssey’s modern segments are packed with tiny secrets that are really, really easy to miss.
When you’re finally allowed to explore your safe house, you can find Splinter Cell’s iconic Third Echelon NVG. Those are the goggles with three bright green lights. You can find a travel magazine for Quebec, Canada — a city closely associated with Ubisoft, thanks to the headquarters there.
Look at the city skyline, and you’ll wonder if the Frye Twins would recognize modern London. The Frye Twins were the protagonists of Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate. And finally, in the messy rooms that’s seemingly empty, you can find a Rabbid on a shelf. Our hero even says “Bwah?” when you look at it.

Snowy Mountain Sword-in-the-Stone
Up on a tall, tall peak of Lakonia you’ll be able to find a sword stuck directly into a stone on the highest mountain peak. No, you can’t collect it — really, there’s no point for this sword to even exist. It’s a unique piece of architecture, it was placed there by a developer. So, the question is, why is it here?
Is this another Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Easter egg? The Sword of Power is pulled from a stone, but it isn’t traditionally located at the very top of a mountain. The legendary King Arthur stone also had nothing to do with mountains. Maybe the little sword is just meant to mark the tallest peak in the game. Who knows.
