If you’re a fan of your 3DS, this week’s Nintendo Direct was a true treat. A swath of new games and release dates for the handheld king were unveiled at a rapid rate, with standouts like The Legend of Zelda: A link to the Past 2 and Mario Golf World Tour making appearances. But don’t think that we’re through with news on the Mario-maker for this week. A recently discovered document that’s been making its way around 4chan’s /v/ community has given further insight into the future of Nintendo products.
Now, let’s be clear: not all upcoming games on the Wii U and 3DS have a solid release date on this piece of paper. According to the new list, which can be seen below, highly anticipated games like Bayonetta 2, Yarn Yoshi, Xenoblade Wii U, and Super Smash Bros. Wii U are just coming in the fall. However, one interesting tidbit of information comes from a Mario project that’s currently “on hold.” It looks as if Super Mario Galaxy 2 was expected to make its way to the Wii U, possibly as an HD re-release, but something must have changed Nintendo’s mind.
Other tentative releases include The Wonderful 101 in July, Wii Fit U with Balance Board and Fit Meter for the holiday season, and a fall projection for the Shen Megami Tensei & Fire Emblem Crossover. The tag of “very confidential” can also be seen for a battery pack that may come to the Wii U in August. The project might be an exclusive online item, but like every other listing found on this leaked sheet, nothing is set in stone.
Out of all the games listed, which are you most excited to experience this year?
