Sardinium is the collectible you’ll need the most in Octo Canyon, the singleplayer hero mode of Splatoon 2. Why? Because collecting these little chunks of fish-shaped metal let you upgrade your Hero Weapons, unlock new sub abilities, or enhance your ink tank.
There’s no getting around it. If you want to use Sheldon’s Ammo Knights Enhancifier, you’ll need to collect plenty of these morsels. There’s one in every single level, and you’ll earn a free one for each boss fight. Considering there are only five boss fights, that’s not enough to get the best enhancements. That’s why we’ve put together a guide showing all the spots to grab Sardinium, including a gallery to help you spot them all.

All Sardinium Locations | Weapon Upgrades Guide
Sardinium might look like an ugly statue, but it’s actually an important resource for upgrading your Hero weapons in Octo Canyon. After completing the first boss, Sheldon will appear with his Upgrade Terminal. Here, you can spend collected eggs and Sardinium to purchase Hero Shot (or other weapon) enhancements.
There is one Sardinium collectible in each level, and you’ll be rewarded with a bonus Sardinium after every boss. Every hub also contains a single secret Sardinium piece, and they’re all worth getting if you want to truly enhance your vast Octo Canyon arsenal. Check out all the locations below.
