While BioWare has been very busy adding in more multiplayer content for Mass Effect 3, that doesn't mean they're abandoning the game's campaign.
In a video interview at the New York Comic-Con, BioWare's Mike Gamble revealed the first few details for the upcoming Omega DLC which we first reported on last month.
Players will get to play with Aria (duh!) as they battle with General Petrovsky over who controls Omega. Petrovsky is from the Mass Effect Invasion comic series and this DLC will build upon that. Additionally, the expansion will introduce a female Turian character but sadly, no image has surfaced just yet.
In what could be the most noteworthy part of the interview, Gamble reveals that the Omega DLC is "one of the largest" DLCs they've done so far. He even goes as far to compare it to previous Mass Effect 3 expansions and states its "basically double the size of the largest DLC we've done for Mass Effect 3."
Also of note, most likely because of the expansion's scope, Omega will be the highest-priced DLC to date for the Mass Effect franchise. It will be priced at 1200 Microsoft Points or about $15 in real world currency.
The Omega DLC is scheduled for a November 27 release, but it's currently unknown if this is for all platforms or just for the Xbox 360 version. We will. of course, seek confirmation from EA or BioWare and will update this post once they cleared it up.
So, are you ready to help Aria once again or if given the chance, will you seek Omega for your own?
Thanks, NeoGAF
