Resident Evil: Vendetta is the next big film to release and if you’re located in the United States or Canada, you’ll have one night to experience the film on the big screen. It’s been revealed thanks to Fathom Events, that the film will see theaters for one night only which means you’ll want to get tickets to the event as soon as possible.
Sony and Fathom Events are working together in order to showcase Resident Evil: Vendetta in theaters for Canada and the United States. This CG film doesn’t have an official theatrical release leaving Resident Evil: The Final Chapter to be the last film from the franchise to invade theaters near you.
This partnership will allow the film to screen in June where tickets will go on sale this March 24 for Canadian screenings, tickets can be purchased here, while those in the United States can purchase their tickets on March 31, 2017, through the Fathom Event’s website.
Overall, Resident Evil: Vendetta takes place after the events of the 2012 release, Resident Evil: Damnation. The film follows Leon S. Kennedy, Chris Redfield, and Rebecca Chambers as they attempt to stop Glenn Arias from spreading a new deadly virus through New York City.
Because this film takes place between Resident Evil 6 and Resident Evil 7, we may learn new details regarding the latest video game from the film, though we’ll have to wait and see when the movie officially launches in Japan on May 27, 2017.
