Medal of Honor Warfighter’s UAV Can Literally Kill Enemies

October 9, 2012 by Alex Co

Have you ever used a UAV in any FPS game to actually kill someone in an FPS? In Warfighter, you can!

If you're familiar with multiplayer first-person shooters, then you most likely know the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle or otherwise known as the "UAV."

In most FPS games, it's used as a way to know where the enemies are by highlighting them on the map. Sure, it was used to great effect in Battlefield: Bad Company 2 as a controllable miniature aerial vehicle of death; but for the most part, it's used primarily to know where enemies are so you can kill them.

This doesn't seem to be the case in Danger Close's Medal of Honor Warfighter. Just in case you didn't know, Warfighter is currently running an open beta for Xbox 360 users. In the game, players can earn Support Actions from killing enemies, going after objectives and more. One of the Support Actions you can earn is the UAV. In this video by NeoGAF user OdysseusVA, you get to see the UAV used to actually kill someone…sort of like a paperplane of doom or something.

I honestly am not sure if this was intentional or a bug in Danger Close's part. All I know is, this made me "LOL" and chuckle when I first saw it. Of course, this is a beta still, so this "feature" might be pulled in the game's final retail release.

Are you playing Medal of Honor Warfighter's Xbox 360 beta? If so, what are your thoughts on it so far? Will you be picking it up on October 23 or do you have other shooters in mind?
