Primal Rage was a video game developed by Atari Games that released in Arcades in North America during the year 1994. The video game was a hit and caused ports to be made on a number of home consoles during the following year, though Atari had a bigger idea for the console down the line.
Primal Rage 2 had entered development in 1995 from Atari Games, though it wasn’t long when the title was officially cancelled. Instead, the one-on-one fighting game only lived on from gamers who rumored that a few arcade game boards of the title still existed.
In fact, that rumored turned out to be true, though, for gamers who really wanted to enjoy the game, there was, unfortunately, no way to get the game working on an emulator. That’s until now when one gamer managed to craft an emulator that works specifically for this video game.
Reported by Kotaku, Primal Rage 2 received a working emulator by YouTube content creator Gruntzilla94. The emulator is called MAME4RAGE2 and offers gamers a chance to enjoy the decade’s old video game on their home PC.
With that said, there are still unfinished sections of the game and bugs that developers hadn’t cleared during the development of the title. The video game is still very much playable to this day which you can see gameplay of the title within the video above.
