Since Nintendo's Wii U launch press conference last month, we already know a great deal regarding the company's upcoming next-gen console. However, one thing we still haven't seen up to this day is the console's user interface. How will we choose games, the menus it has and whatnot.
Lucky for us that someone from NintendoWorldReport did exactly that. He went to the Nintendo World Store in New York, fiddled with the demo stations they had and recorded it. Before watching the video, keep in mind that this might not be the final UI. So don't be surprised if you see a different version when the Wii U launches.
Unlike the PS3 and Xbox 360, the Wii U's interface seems to be more intuitive using the GamePad than a controller on the TV. You can swipe the games to scroll through them quickly, touch a game when you want it to load, etc. Also, around the 1:12 mark, you can see that the title for the eShop is there but it doesn't have an icon or looks to be functional at all. Again, I attribute this to being demo stations and doesn't mean Nintendo's eShop hasn't been implemented yet.
If the final version is the same as the one shown in the video, do you think it's user-friendly enough or would you want something more "jazzed up?" Sound off and let us know.
