Capcom Unveils The Disney Afternoon Collection

March 15, 2017 by Dennis Patrick

Replay some of Disney Capcom NES classics

Retro gamers rejoice as we are about receive a collection of games released from the Capcom vault. During the days of the Nintendo Entertainment System, Disney offered kids a block of exciting cartoons and it’s from these cartoons that we received a collection of platforming titles.

If you enjoyed these Disney-themed video games released under Capcom from back in the day then you may want to pick up the newly announced The Disney Afternoon Collection. As you can imagine from the title, this is a collection of previously released video games slated to launch on current day platforms.

This upcoming The Disney Afternoon Collection will come with Darkwing Duck, DuckTales, DuckTales 2, TaleSpin, Chip ‘n Dale, and lastly, Chip ‘n Dale 2. Of course, the collection will be remastered in 1080p 8-bit style graphics, but there are some other neat little features being tossed in as well.

Gamers will find a Boss Rush Mode where players can battle against a series of boss battles in a row, a Time Attack Mode, along with a Rewind ability to allow gamers a quick few seconds of gameplay rewind in case you happen to miss a jump and don’t wish to start completely over.

For now, the game collection doesn’t appear to be releasing on Nintendo’s latest console release, the Switch, however, gamers can purchase The Disney Afternoon Collection on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC platforms this April 18, 2017.
