The Unfinished Swan Gets a Release Date, Will Fly Earlier for PS+ Members

October 5, 2012 by Alex Co

Sony’s off-beat "painting" game finally gets a release date.

Sony's Unfinished Swan for the PSN finally has a release date. This quirky first-person "painting" game will officially be out on October 23, but if you're a PS+ member, you can get it a week early on October 16.

In addition to the release date, Developer Giant Sparrow has also released a new developer diary for the game which you can watch below. This is the first in a series of developer diaries that will give players some background info regarding the studio, as well as the game itself.

Unfortunately, no price has been given in the announcement post. However, it's listed in the EU PlayStation Blog as £9.99, so I assume it will be $15 in the U.S. at the very least.

Can a first-person painting game really work? We'll know the answer to that in just a few weeks.

Are you intrigued by this or does it look boring to you? Let's hope more games like this one gets released. I mean, it's only a matter of time until we get fed up shooting people over and over again, no?
