Halo 4 Incinerator Cannon Brings the Heat

October 2, 2012 by Ian Miles Cheong

The newly introduced Incinerator Cannon for Halo 4 brings the heat to the battlefield.

Youtube maker and Halo fan MoreConsole has put up a compilation of videos showcasing Halo 4’s newly introduced Incinerator Cannon in action.

This Promethean weapon fires several streams of explosive particles along multiple paths that detonate and spread upon impact, and acts like a cross between a rocket launcher, a shotgun, and a flamethrower all at once.

“From what I’ve seen, it’s lethal,” remarks MoreConsole.

The videos also showcase how the player picks his loadout on the fly, before respawning.

The Incinerator Cannon is one of the new weapons to be introduced in Halo 4 alongside other Promethean guns including the Light Rifle, Suppressor, Bolt Shot, Binary Rifle, and the Scattershot. Each of these weapons has an analog in the UNSC which serve similar roles on the battlefield, but function slightly differently.

The compilation of the Incinerator Cannon is based on videos taken by BilzozANinja on YouTube, who captured the footage at live events in which Halo 4 was showcased to the public by 343 Industries.

Halo 4 is set for a November 6 release on the Xbox 360.
