If you're a fan of the Silent Hill series, you might want to turn your head away because the trailer for Silent Hill: Book of Memories may not be what you want out of the survival horror franchise.
However, if you're a fan of action RPGs, this game looks like it might be right up your alley as it pits what look like college students (you get to choose) against hordes of horrifying creatures from the Silent Hilliverse.
The trailer shows the protagonists doing battle against zombies, a rock monster, and even Pyramid Head, as they shoot them up from an isometric viewpoint. Think Diablo with Silent Hill characters in it and you've got Book of Memories.
Regardless of how little resemblance it bears to the rest of the Silent Hill series, it'll be interesting to see how the game plays out as an action RPG and not as a survival horror game.
Silent Hill: Book of Memories is set for an October 16 release on the PS Vita.
