Dishonored’s “The Tales of Dunwall” Shows Why Corvo’s Mechanical Mask Was Created

September 27, 2012 by Ian Miles Cheong

The third and last chapter in the mini-webseries shows why his mask came to be.

Dishonored

Bethesda has released the third and final episode of its Dishonored web-series The Tales from Dunwall. This latest entry introduces us to Piero, a key figure in the game’s story.

Titled “In the Mind of Madness,” the final chapter features the animation of the previous two episodes, and offers us a glimpse at some of the bad guys we’ll be facing as Corvo and sheds some light on the plague which spread throughout the city of Dunwall.

The episode reveals that Piero is the one who constructs the mechanical mask donned by Corvo, the game’s protagonist.

“Rats, disease, death. The nightmare had become an obsession.” Needless to say, the whole webseries is well worth the watch. You can check out the previous parts here, and here.

Dishonored is out in North America on October 9 and throughout Europe on October 12 for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
