Ubisoft has unveiled new details about the campaign of its upcoming game, Assassin's Creed 3. Like the past couple of games, Connor is revealed to have a home base of his very own, which for the first time around will be player-customizable.
Known as the "Homstead", Connor's base of operations is what Ubisoft's Julien Laferriere describes as "our take on the American dream." Speaking in an interview with Eurogamer, Laferriere described the Homestead as a central location for Connor which the player can build and recruit people to live in. More than just a house, the Homestead is an entire settlement that will be populated by a host of characters who will then provide you with sidequests and stories as you progress through the game and help them out.
The Homestead will also be home for Achilles, a master assassin and mentor to Connor. He's described as a man of Caribbean descent who's determined to aid the protagonist in his mission.
“He’s not your Leonardo da Vinci,” Laferriere said, suggesting that Achilles will play quite a different role from Ezio’s friend, and implied that the character would play a larger role in the story.
Assassin's Creed 3 is set for an October 30 release.
