After weeks of teasing and twisting strings around our hearts, Treyarch and Activision have finally released screenshots of their new Zombies mode campaign in their upcoming first person shooter, Black Ops 2.
The new Zombies mode is set to offer a full fledged multiplayer campaign not unlike how it was done in Call of Duty: World at War, with an ample amount of backstory explaining the existence of the zombies and the survivors whom you play.
While little of the actual mode itself has been revealed today, the screenshots depict zombies with glowing eyes as they run amuck in small town America in front of a bus station, as the night sky flashes ominously with lightning.
The zombies include undead hospital patients and random Joes who appear to be infected with some sort of virus that desiccates their skin and turns them into mindless, hungering monsters.
We’ll report further details on the mode as it becomes available. Black Ops 2 is set for release on the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on November 12.
