Thanks to the Nindie Showcase from yesterday, players who are excited about the Switch can finally see the commitment from Nintendo’s third-party support. As announced by Nintendo, there are currently more than 60 indie titles in the works for the Switch.
This is huge for Nintendo, as they step into a new world of developers, games, and fans. The Wii U had its share of indie titles, but the Switch will have more than 60 within its first year, making it a very robust system.
The showcase, which can be watched right here, showed off some familiar games like Stardew Valley — due out this Summer, Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment — launch title, and Yooka Laylee — coming 2017, but we also got a look at some new games like Runner3, Steam World Dig 2, and much more.
Nintendo Switch is set to release this Friday, March 3.
