Castle Crashers is Coming to Steam in a Mere Five Days

September 21, 2012 by Kris Ligman

Brace yourselves: PC, Mac versions imminent.

Castle Crashers, the little Newgrounds-borne four-player hack-and-slash that’s as cute as it is disgusting, has already taken XBLA and PSN by storm. Now to complete their conquest, developers The Behemoth are bringing the game to PC and Mac via Steam.

Announced back in August, the Steam version will support Steam Cloud services, online co-op and your favorite gamepad, because just because you’re playing on the superior platform does not mean you need to settle for WASD (or as I like to call it, “wuh-sad”). What is less clear is whether the Steam version comes with the best DLC ever, but if not, hopefully it will be available as an add-on.

In the meantime, head on over to the newly-minted Steam product page and, I don’t know, gaze longingly for a while. The game will unlock on September 26th.
