Best Buy will be holding midnight release events for the Nintendo Switch at hundreds of locations. Depending on your local store’s availability, you may even be able to buy a Switch even if you didn’t pre-order one, the retailer has announced today.
Pre-order customers will have to wait in line to pick up their Switch. However, those who are looking to snag a Switch without a pre-order, they’ll want to line up even earlier because “quantities will be limited,” said Best Buy.
The company plans on handling the Switch sales the same way that it handles Black Friday doorbuster eals. Employees will hand out tickets for as many Switch systems as they have in stock, and purchases will be limited to one per customer.
Midnight launch events will take place at more than 600 Best Buy stores, with the Switch as well as its corresponding games and accessories going on sale at 12:01 AM local time on Friday, March 3rd. You can search by state here to find out what locations near you are opening at midnight.
However, the company has said that locations that do not hold a midnight launch will start selling the Switch at the time they normally open on Fridays, which is usually 10 AM, but possible 9 AM depending on the particular store.
GameStop will also sell two Switch bundles on its website sometime on the night of Thursday, March 2nd.
