Ubisoft has announced today that The Division’s third and final expansion, Last Stand, launches tomorrow, February 28th on all platforms along with the new 1.6 update.
The expansion and the update will launch on all platforms simultaneously. Underground and Survival, the first two expansions, had launched first on Xbox One and PC before coming to PS4 later.
The Last Stand expansion adds the new, more challenging Dark Zone North area, in addition to a PvP mode called Last Stand. The mode is basically organized PvP in the Dark Zone, and it pits teams of eight against each other and also supports matchmaking. A new Incursion, Stolen Signal, is also included.
In addition, free update 1.6 adds new Contamination events that are set inside a Dark Zone underground location. More Exotic weapons and landmarks are also being included. Additionally, the update adds Dark Zone leaderboard and an exceptionally difficult Legendary mode that is aimed at “top players.”
Last Stand is included with The Division’s $40 DLC pass, if the standalone pricing is the same as the two previous add ons, it’s probably going to be $15 by itself.
In addition, Ubisoft is going to launch a free trial version of The Division tomorrow for all systems. This is the full version of the game, but it caps players at level 8 and is only playable for 6 hours. However, if players do decide to buy the full game, all of their progress from the trial edition will transfer.
