With the release date for the Nintendo Switch around the corner, this is not the time to see hardware issues.
According to several reports, The Nintendo Switch Joy-Con controllers are suffering from major synchronisation problems. A number of Journalists have gotten their hands on unpatched versions of the consoles, and have complained that the controllers are occasionally desynchronising and disconnecting from the console while it’s in its ‘docked’ mode.
Jason Schreier from Kotaku was just one of the media professionals to have reported issues with the left Joy-Con specifically.

Nintendo will be releasing a Day One Patch that will supposedly address a bunch of issues that people have been having with the console, but there has been no mention of the patch solving this issue specifically. This is worrying in that the issue will prevail for weeks after the console is released.
Nintendo will be expected to address this issue soon, otherwise it could hurt potential sales upon release.
The Nintendo Switch launches on March 3, 2017 (hopefully fully functional).
