Crytek has released a new trailer for Crysis 3 and while it does show a few seconds' worth of new gameplay, that's not really the trailer's point. It's point is to let you know that people really liked what they saw of Crysis 3. Yeah, it's like Crytek patting themselves on the back, but almost every developer does it these days.
Give it a look to see what (a few choice) media people thought of the game.
If the trailer didn't state it plainly enough, you will, once again, play as Prophet in Crysis 3. Using your Nanosuit armor, Prophet will rid the world of the invading Ceph and the corrupt CELL corporation. Expect New York to be one of the stages in the game again, but Crytek is showing off a lot more foliage this time around.
People who pre-order Crysis 3 will receive the Composite Bow weapon for use in multiplayer in Day 1. Speaking of mulitplayer, I honestly dug Crysis 2's multiplayer way more than I expected. It made perks "realistic" in a way since most of them can be attributed to the Nanosuit armor's abilities. Also, the killstreak rewards weren't overpowered and was stage-specific.
Crysis 3 is scheduled for a February 23, 2013 release on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
