Engadget has posted a few pictures and details of an Android based PlayStation Phone(or PSP Phone) which has been rumored for a very long time. According to the report, the device will be running Android 3.0 (Gingerbread) and will have its own Sony Marketplace allowing handset owners to buy and download games for the device. Below are the specs for the device(from the report),
- 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8655 (a chip similar to the one found in the G2, but 200MHz faster)
- 512MB of RAM
- 1GB of ROM
- 3.7 to 4.1 inches Screen-size.
The device pictured above is being touted as a prototype as it is still buggy and does not support skins. The PlayStaion Phone is most likely to be released in 2011, but a holiday release would be a bonus for Android and Sony fans.
