Oh, Hello: A Shin Megami Tensei 4 Trailer

September 17, 2012 by Kris Ligman

You’re welcome.

We’ve known about a forthcoming new installment for Atlus’s Shin Megami Tensei series for a while –that’s the actual Shin Megami Tensei, not Persona or another spin-off series– but just in time for the Tokyo Game Show Atlus have elected to make our day with a new gameplay trailer.

Shin Megami Tensei 4 looks almost too good for the 3DS, and that again speaks to the power of the little handheld’s hardware (when you dial the 3D off). Not only do we get a glimpse of some smooth anime cinematics, the trailer also shows off some of its world exploration, the voice work and a brief glimpse of the battle system.

Atlus have promised a longer version of the above trailer at TGS, so stay tuned for more details. Here’s hoping for a Western release, though. It looks gorgeous.
