Injustice fans have been eagerly awaiting announcements of new characters being added to the roster for the upcoming sequel, Injustice 2. The development team, NetherRealm Studios, has been teasing new characters that will be added to the game with the most recent announcement being Swamp Thing. Now, a new trailer has been released showcasing some of the female characters you’ll be able to battle with or again.
This new trailer, titled “Here Come the Girls”, launched earlier today and shows off four female characters which are Catwoman, Cheetah, Poison Ivy, and Black Canary. It’s worth pointing out that NetherRealm Studios launched a standalone trailer in the past featuring Black Canary.
Overall, the trailer is a nice montage of gameplay with each character which shows off their moves along with special attacks. We’re still waiting for new character announcements, but this trailer will help keep Injustice 2 on the radar for gamers until it officially launches on May 16, 2017, for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms, with a mobile version of the game being developed later on.
As for the story narrative, Batman and his insurgency will attempt to bring the world and society back together while struggling against the remnants of Superman’s regime. Although, a new enemy puts Earth’s entire existence at Risk forcing a new team of Superheroes to once again work together.
