September 13, 2012 by Ian Miles Cheong

Players can now preorder their copy of Worms Revolution on Steam.

Worms Revolution

Team17 has announced today that its upcoming game Worms Revolution is now available for preorder on Steam, where the game is expected to be released on October 10 later this year. You can place your order here.

Those who preorder the game will receive a host of goodies including the full version of the classic title Worms Armageddon. In addition to the free game, players who preorder now will receive exclusive bonus campaign missions for Worms Revolution, an exclusive fort for use in multiplayer, exclusive hats (yes, Worms has gone the way of TF2 and will feature vanity items), exclusive gravestones to mark where your heroic worms have fallen in battle, and exclusive speechbanks to make your worms squad sound a lot like David Attenborough (Wild Life Documenter) or Simon Cowell (Reality TV Talent Judge).

Like its predecessors in the Worms series, Worms Revolution brings back the worm-on-worm conflict into two dimensions, offering a single-player campaign with 32 missions, 20 puzzle maps, and both online and local multiplayer for up to four players. Players will be able to engage in three multiplayer modes and customize their worms and even define their classes this time around.

In addition to the preorder of Worms Revolution, players can also purchase a Season Pass for the game which provides access to four full fledged DLC expansions for Worms Revolution as they become available next year. The season pass is on sale for $14.99, but is currently on sale at a 10% discount.

Worms Revolution is also set for release on the Xbox Live and PlayStation Network on October 10.
