Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate Announced for the Wii U

At Nintendo's US presser for the Wii U. Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime announced that Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for the Wii U.

It will be available the same day as its Nintendo 3DS counterpart. Not only that, but Wii U version will let you play alongside the 3DS via a local wireless connection. For people who own both versions, they can interchange the save data on both so they can play Monster Hunter 3 on their WIi U, go out, and continue playing it on their 3DS without losing any of their saved game progress.

Here's what Monster Hunter producer Ryozo Tsujimoto has to say regarind the recent announcement.

Monster Hunter 3 for the Wii U and 3DS is expect to be on March, 2013. 

Anyone excited for this? I admit, cross-platform play is very, very, intriguing, no?
