Danger Close has released the latest video in its Seal Team 6 Combat Training series and this one talks about Fireteams. As was the case with the previous videos, Danger Close opted to show real Tier 1 Operators (albeit with their faces blurred out) talk about how they handle Fireteams in real-life.
Unfortunately, the video is also the same as the previous two in that it doesn't show much gameplay; but it compensates for that by letting us in the Tier 1 Operator's heads.
Give it a watch below.
In Medal of Honor Warfighter, Fireteams work as a two-man buddy system. You can see an outline of your Fireteam buddy once they're within proximity, Not only that, but when you get killed by the enemy, if your buddy manages to kill that same enemy immediately, you'll then be given the option to spawn instantly at your buddy's six (back). In addition to those, you can give ammo and health to each other, coordinate what Support Action to use, etc.
Danger Close hopes this kind of two-man squad will encourage more teamwork between players. It also looks to be a middle ground between Call of Duty's lone-wolf gameplay, to Battlefield's reliance on squads.
Can they succeed? We'll know for sure once Medal of Honor Warfighter ships on October 23 for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
