Don’t sell your extra Nintendo controllers just yet, because support for old peripherals maybe be supported on the Nintendo Switch.
In an interview with Time, president Tatsumi Kimishima said “Support for certain controllers may be considered for a future update,” when asked how easy it would be port over software and controllers from the Switch’s predecessor, the Wii U.
Although there is no statement or further information of future backwards compatibility on the website, this would be a awesome prospect for Nintendo fans as this will save them 70$-80$ instead of buying a new Switch controller.
