As if you needed more reasons to play military shooters, Infinity Ward Community Manager Tina Palacios has announced (via Twitter) that Modern Warfare 3's Double XP event is now live and across all platforms, too.

This double XP event is likely held due to the Xbox 360 getting the final DLC pack for Modern Warfare 3 called "Collection 4: Final Assault," which was released yesterday. PS3 and PC players should expect this DLC pack a month after as per the norm when it comes to Call of Duty DLC. Heck, they haven't even gotten Collection 3 yet, so sit tight.
While double XP events are the norm when it comes to multiplayer FPS' with persistent progression, I hope developers become more creative when it comes to these things. There's only so many times I'm hooked to keep on playing just to see a damn virtual meter fill up, no?
Anyone here playing Modern Warfare 3 this weekend to capitalize on this?
