Bethesda Still Unsure on Wii U Support

September 7, 2012 by Alex Co

If you’re expecting a Wii U version of Skyrim or any of Bethesda’s games, you might be in for a long wait.

It's nothing new now to know that Bethesda has yet to support Nintendo's Wii; and with this console generation fading out, it's highly unlikely they ever will.

In saying that, Nintendo is the first to usher in the next-generation of gaming. So can Nintendo fans expect a port of Skyrim or any other support from Bethesda? If Bethesda's PR and Marketing VP Pete Hines' comments are to be taken as is, I wouldn't exactly hold my breath for Wii U support either.

In an interview in the latest issue of MCV (via Videogamer), Hines comments that Bethesda's "approach has been to put our games out on all of the platforms that will support them…So far the Wii hasn't fitted into that. Whether Wii U does down the road is TBD (To Be Determined)."

I doubt this is the sort of news Nintendo wants to hear from the developer of last year's critically-acclaimed RPG, no? Is this a cause for concern or is Zelda all Nintendo fans need in terms of RPG gaming?
