The futuristic Sci-Fi RPG, Deus Ex is apparently going to be placed on hiatus for a while, however there still remains a lot on the cards for Mankind Divided.
According to Eurogamer, the factors contributing to the hiatus is because of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided’s underwhelming sales and because of the shifting focus to the new Marvel game says Square Enix.
According to Chart-tracker, Mankind divided went straight to no 1, but declined quickly. Chart-Track noted at the time that the game’s predecessor, Human Revolution, had a “much stronger debut.”
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided recently had a new spinoff game release on PC. The game’s Breach Mode is now free-to-play in its own right, while a Mankind Divided “VR Experience” has also launched. Lastly, the game is getting a second DLC pack in February, after the first released last year. It’s called A Criminal Past, and it acts as a prequel to the main Mankind Divided story.
“While we are still working on expanding the Deus Ex Universe, along with creating new content and updates for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, we’re also devoting our talents towards working with Crystal Dynamics and Marvel on The Avengers project.”
