Hideo Kojima recently held a Metal Gear Solid panel at PAX and he brought a little treat for fans, this is none other than the much-talked about first gameplay trailer for Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes!
Now, a few things to note before you watch the 10-minute clip below. First off, Kojima has confirmed that this is not Metal Gear Solid 5. Instead, it's a prologue to MGS5. In addition to that, Sony has announced that Ground Zeroes is set to be released on the PS3! Yep, it's a current-gen game if you can believe it.
Lastly, the trailer below spoils a few things for you if you have yet to finish Peace Walker, so tread at your own discretion. Of course, even if you haven't played or finished Peace Walker, can you really resist not watching Kojima's next opus?
Here's the 10-minute trailer with English subtitles (I recommend watching it in HD).
Looks amazing, doesn't it? While Kojima has admitted that the demo was running on a PC that was built on PS3 specs, it's still not known whether Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes will come out for the Xbox 360 or PC. But if you watch the trailer's end, you can clearly see an Xbox 360 and Xbox LIVE logo joining the PS3 one. So I'm guessing it's still very much in the cards.
I admit, the gameplay trailer shows a lot more dialogue and exposition rather than actual gameplay, but what we do see is simply gorgeous. I honestly can't believe this is coming out for the PS3 — though, I'm sure, with lower texture resolutions and whatnot.
PS3 fans, are you excited with what MGS: Ground Zeroes brings to the table? What do you think of the FOX Engine so far? Sound off and let us know.
