Killzone Trilogy Outed by Amazon with Release Date and Price

August 31, 2012 by Alex Co

It seems Amazon France might have just leaked a new Killzone Collection…it even has a release date and price!

Sony has just revealed its latest PlayStation Collections and it seems another big first-party franchise is set to join the lot. According to Amazon France (page has since been removed), Sony is set to release a Killzone Trilogy for the PS3.

While the listing has since been removed, we're fortunate enough that someone on GameNmotion managed to take a screenshot of it before it was taken down.

You don't need to understand French to know that "Killzone trilogie" is Killzone Trilogy..that, and it's priced at $59.99 EUR with a release date of October 24.

Of course, it's also worth mentioning that $59.99 EUR is around $75 USD. Now, before you go into a hissy-fit, remember that most games are priced higher in Europe than it is in the US, so chances are it will most likely be at the same $60 price point everyone's familiar with.

In addition to the price, the release date of October 24 is, once again, for European territories. So, there's a possiblity that this date could move up or move down depending on SCEA's release schedule.

This upcoming Killzone Trilogy will no doubt include Killzone 1 for the PS2 and Killzone 2 and 3 on the PS3. Hopefully, it adds a few bits and doodads to make it a bit more enticing; that or give players the option to execute Rico and people might be willing to double-dip!

Keep in mind that this has not been confirmed by Sony or Guerilla Games, so there's still a chance that this could be a mix-up on Amazon France's part; although to be honest, I highly doubt that.

Are you fine with Sony going the Helghast route and bundling Killzone or should they focus on less popular and older franchises?
