Boris (self proclaimed Enforcement Unicorn Ninja) and Chris (Magical Elf Person) of Xbox LIVE have turned to YouTube to pledge the support of the entire Xbox LIVE team to the GaymerCon gaming convention.
The event organizers are currently accepting donations to their Kickstarter. It's already been funded, but it could still use a little more help.
The event—the first of its kind—is set to take place next year, on August 3 and 4 in San Francisco. GaymerCon is the first—and presently only—gaming and geek lifestyle convention with a focus on LGBT culture.
The convention aims to provide an inclusive environment for gamers of all genders, ethnicities and creeds to celebrate gaming culture and inform the larger community of the presence and promote the acceptance of non-heteronormative gamers.
Given the fact that everyone plays games, there's little reason for the gaming community to be as exclusionary as it currently is. GaymerCon will attempt to change some of these bad attitudes, and like the Xbox LIVE team, we're with them all the way.
