Earlier in the month, Blizzard held a costume contest at gamescom that brought forth some of the most detailed and fantastic cosplay Cologne, Germany has ever seen. In the end, Svetlana Quindt took first place with her amazing rendition of the female barbarian from Diablo III.
It took Quindt about a month of work to create the costume using Worbla and Wonderflex – craft material that actually exists, not words I just made up for this article – along with lots of fake fur, leather, and orange fabric. She chose the Barbarian class because of her own personal preferences within the game as well as her love of creating armored, bulky, and detailed costumes.
For her efforts, Quindt took home an armful of prizes, including Diablo III gaming peripherals and an XMG P502 pro gaming notebook.
