Resident Evil 7 is nearly here and already we’re looking forward to what’s next for the upcoming installment to the survival-horror franchise. Today, we’re learning about the first story DLC that will be launching in spring and best of all, this will be free for all gamers.
News regarding the upcoming story DLC was revealed by an article at Famitsu which was translated and reported by Gematsu. The article describes the DLC as a free short story scenario called “Not A Hero” though details are not given regarding as to what gamers can expect.
From what we know so far is that Resident Evil 7 Not A Hero DLC will be different from the Ethan nightmare gamers will be going through in the main story. It seems that we’ll just have to wait until spring in order to find out just what the upcoming story DLC will entail.
This won’t be the only DLC available for the upcoming Resident Evil title. A season pass from Steam indicates that gamers will be unlocking Banned Footage Vol. 1, Banned Footage Vol. 2, and lastly an additional story episode.
In other Resident Evil 7 news, it seems that the video game has already started to leak out and release throughout the Middle East, an entire week before the game was set to launch. These leaked copies only work for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One console as the PC version contains a DRM locked to Steam.
As you can probably guess, it’s best to stay off from Resident Evil 7 based forums in case of game spoilers. Resident Evil 7 launches officially on January 24, 2017, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC platforms.
