Tantalizing details about the Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Care Package appear to have slipped out beneath Activision and Treyarch's notice ahead of the planned schedule to announce it today.
The so-called Care Package is the Black Ops 2 equivalent of the Prestige Edition of previous Call of Duty games, and includes a multitude of goodies to keep any collector happy.
The Black Ops 2 Care Package is a huge plastic case which contains everything that's included in the Black Ops 2 Hardened Edition plus a working Dragonfire Drone. The Dragonfire Drone is an affordable quadrotor UAV that's been painted to sport Call of Duty-themed camouflage and decals.
So what's inside the Hardened Edition? The Hardened Edition contains a full copy of Black Ops 2, which comes in a nice Steelbook case, the official soundtrack by Jack Wall and Trent Reznor, a pair of Limited Edition Challenge Coins, and the bonus in-game content of Nuketown 2025 and Nuketown Zombies. You'll also get an exclusive weapon camo and player card backgrounds.
Additionally, the PS3 version of the game comes with a PS3 multiplayer theme and zombies theme. The Xbox 360 version is set to offer a Claw avatar prop and a zombies avatar costume.
Black Ops 2 is set for release on November 13 for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
