Nintendo will be officially revealing details on their next console, the Switch, later this week. The live stream will include a price point for the console, a release date, and details on its launch titles.
Many Nintendo fans are hoping for a big launch lineup, including Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. However, Nintendo fans might even be happier to find out that an announcement of a Pokemon game may be coming. This tidbit comes from the official GameStop product page for the Switch, where they prematurely stated a Pokemon game will be available for the Switch.
Check out the statement down below:
Nintendo Switch games will include new title offerings from Mario, Splatoon, Zelda, the NBA and more! You will even be able to play Skyrim on the go, or Pokemon at home with the Nintendo Switch.
In addition to the initial live stream on January 12, Nintendo will be holding a Treehouse event the following day. This presentation may show that gamers will have a wide assortment of titles to pick up and play. What’s uncertain at this point is if the video games to be featured within the presentation will be centered on launch titles or what video games will be releasing throughout 2017.
If there is any time to announce a Pokemon game and build hype for the Switch it would be there. Stay tuned to Gameranx as we continue to keep tabs on any information about a Switch Pokemon title.
