Rime’s Officially No Longer A PlayStation 4 Exclusive

January 4, 2017 by Dennis Patrick

Check out Rime’s Re-Reveal trailer.

Rime first burst onto the scene back in E3 2013 when developers Tequila Works showed off the title’s first trailer. At the time, Rime was a PlayStation 4 exclusive though just a few short years later the video game IP rights was acquired by Tequila Works once again leaving gamers interested in the upcoming title, a bit uncertain as to if the game will ever release.

Earlier reports online stated that the video game was still in development, but it would no longer be a PlayStation 4 exclusive title. Instead, the game would release for a variety of platforms, though with no trailers or news since the development team acquired the IP rights, fans were still left with some uncertainty.

That is until today when Rime received a brand new trailer giving Rime a proper Re-Reveal. Gamers are able to see a bit more gameplay video courtesy of IGN. Just as it was first revealed in 2013, Rime is shaping up to look similar to The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker alongside Ico.

The best part about this trailer reveal is that we can officially confirm Rime as an upcoming title for not only PlayStation 4, but PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo’s upcoming console release, the Switch. Currently, the title is set to launch at some point this year, though in the meantime, take a look at the brand new gameplay trailer posted above and our screenshot gallery down below.
