Former producer for CD Projekt's Witcher 2, Tomasz Gop, announced back in April that development had begun on a project known then only as "Project RPG."
Now, the game has been revealed as Lords of the Fallen, set in a "medieval fantasy world" ruled over by a fallen god, which Gop described in an update on his LinkedIn profile.
Gop described the gameplay as "hardcore action-RPG" with a combat focused on "the formidable Lords and Generals that command his demonic army." Not to overshadow the importance of the fantasy narrative, Gop added, "the story plot and twists allow approaching the conflict between humans and demons from various perspectives." Not much has actually been seen of the game, except for the enigmatic piece of concept art seen above.
Lords of the Fallen is set for release sometime in 2013 for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
