While we just reported on Sony's mysterious filing for "Rain" as a videogame software last night, it seems the game really is a reality and we even have a few seconds worth of footage.
From the leaked footage — a GIF file and not a video, sadly — it shows a woman battling armed guards with what seem to be Quick-Time Events (QTEs). It seems to be based in a futuristic setting and oddly enough, reminds me of Mass Effect in some ways.

Speculation is running wild that Sony is set to unveil Rain at this year's Gamescom where the publisher is holding a press conference. It's also speculated that Sony is set to unveil two games at this year's Gamescom and one of them could be by Sucker Punch (inFamous). Could Rain be that game?
Your guess is as good as mine at this point, but the wait won't be long now as Gamescom is set to start on August 15 at Cologne, Germany.
