Earlier today, we posted a bunch of offscreen gameplay videos of Ni No Kuni and the new trailer from TGS for Level 5 and Studio Ghibli’s upcoming game has now been posted to youtube. In Ni No Kuni, an upcoming role-playing game for the PS3, players take control of a 13 year old kid, Oliver, whose mother Arie dies suddenly.
A doll given to Oliver by his mother turns out to be a male fairy, Shizuku, who gives Oliver a magic book that allows him to go to the world of “Ninokuni,” a reality parallel to his own, where the fairy makes the boy believe he might be able to revive his mother. Oliver encounters alternate versions of people he knows. The unmistakable Ghibli art style is quite apparent in the trailer below,
