We already know that Kojima is planning on adding Trophy support for Metal Gear Solid 4 via a patch, but now we even have a firm release date when that patch will be released…at least in Japan, that is.
According to a tweet from Kojima Productions' official Twitter, the patch will arrive in Japan on August 6, It's currently unknown if this is the same date that the patch will be out for Western territories, though it wouldn't surprise me if it is as Sony can roll it along their weekly PSN update.
In addition to adding Trophy support, the incoming patch will also add the ability to let players install the full game to their harddrive, a big difference compared to the original install which consisted of 5GB chunks in each chapter.
Any of you planning on playing MGS4 again to collect the Trophies? Lucky for me that I've yet to finish Metal Gear Solid 4 and this is a good time as any to finally do it.
