There’s been a flurry of speculation surrounding the pricing for Nintendo’s latest console, the Nintendo Switch. But if UK retailer GameSeek’s listing is legitimate, we could be looking at a price of £198.50 (roughly $250 USD).
GameSeek is currently accepting pre-orders for the Switch which come with price guarantees. This ensures that the price is locked in, even if the Switch price increases by its official release. Listed above the price tag is a proposed release date of 17 March, but this comes with a disclaimer stating dates are “subject to change” by the manufacturer. So far, Nintendo has not released any official statement regarding the Switch’s price point. It is likely more information will be revealed at the Nintendo Switch Presentation, which will be streamed live on January 12, 2017.
Interestingly, major Australian retail outlets JB Hi-Fi and EB Games have both listed the Nintendo Switch with a pre-order price of $999 AUD.
