Hayssam Keilany, known by his online moniker iCE La GlacE, has released his final update for the iCEnhancer mod, a GTA IV graphics mod that gives the Rockstar title more than just a new coat of paint.
The mod, downloadable here, is now in Version 2.1. As the video above demonstrates, the mod, among other things, tweaks the game’s graphical fidelity in a big way, refining those polys and giving the environment and eerily realistic glow (most notable on the luxury vehicles, used in the videos several times as focal points.) On his website, iCE lists the changes the mod brings to the game, including new lens flare, higher framerate (+25%), a configuration tool, ELFC support and, as he puts it, “better colors.”
iCE wrote that he won’t be doing anymore updates for the mod, but notes that fans have a stake in deciding which project he’ll focus on next, saying,
“iCEnhancer 2.1 is the final version I’ll do for this game. Now going on other projects like Minecraft & Skyrim (Maybe more, You can decide on my Facebook page.”
