According to this week's issue of Famitsu (via Andriasang), Resident Evil 6 will let players experience the game from a whole new different perspective.
The game will have an all-new "Agent Hunt" mode which lets you play as a zombie (or other creature) that you control to attack the main characters.
It will be different from Resident Evil 6's Mercenaries mode, as Agent Hunt is integrated into the main game. To access it, players must first complete the main campaign and once you've done that, you'll then be able to set an option to open some stages for Agent Hunt play.
Once enabled, this will allow other players to to join the game and be one of the creatures in certain stages. When another player enters the stage as a creature, you'll be alerted to it, though you won't be told which one is human controlled, and which one is controlled by the AI.
It will also be available for multiplayer, as multiple zombies/creatures can gang up on a single player. Not only that but they can even use voice chat to communicate on how they're going to take down their "enemy."
I admit, this concept has me very intrigued. So this means that once you've completed the game, you can then set the option "on" and have varied encounters each and every time.
Hopefully, Capcom will also allow players to take controls of bosses. Imagine if that's possible? I can see players rage-quitting due no pattern being discernible, no?
Resident Evil 6 is set for release on October 2 for the Xbox 360 and PS3. The PC version has also been confirmed but without a firm release date just yet.
Are you liking this mode so far? Which creature would you most want to be?
