343 Industries has just published the cover for Awakening: The Art of Halo 4, a book which is slated to be released as a part of the Halo 4 Limited Edition. It’s unknown whether the book will be sold separately.
As the name suggests, the art book contains artwork aplenty, featuring the concept art, early character designs, backgrounds, and characters of the upcoming game.
The cover itself depicts Master Chief standing upon a cliff edge as he gazes at what appear to be Forerunner structures which span for miles, vertically. There’s little doubt that we’ll be making our way into one of those colossal structures in the game proper.
Aside from playing through the game’s single player and cooperative campaigns, the artbook will perhaps provide some insight into these ominous structures and the design direction that 343 Industries is going with.
Halo 4 is set for release on November 6 and is exclusive to the Xbox 360.
